Family Service Day

Help For Families in Need

The Family Service Day concept started in December of 2009; it’s simple: Use the gifts we have been given to meet the needs of those in our community who are most at risk. Since then we have serviced hundreds of vehicles of “at risk” families in the Historic Triangle at no charge.

These days of service alternate between our different locations. We are so proud of our men and women who selflessly volunteer their time on Saturdays when American Pride Automotive would otherwise be closed. It is the giving nature of each volunteer and supporting organization that enables us to provide these free services.

We have strategic alignments with Lackey Free Medical Clinic, Grove Christian Outreach, Avalon and the United States Military. Our corporate sponsors are Colony Insurance Group, 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, Tide Radio and WYDaily online newspaper.

Here is a national press release from when Charlie received the Seven Seals Award from Vice Admiral Dirk Debbink for the good works Family Service Day has brought to the U.S. Military.

If you’d like to participate, please call (757) 595-4100 to make an appointment, or go here to schedule an appointment online.  Our next Family Service Day will be announced soon.

The Family Service Day has also received some great recognition in the media, including this article in the Yorktown Crier.
