Family Service Day is Back!

After a summer hiatus getting the Toano location open, Family Service Day will return September 29th in conjunction with the grand opening of the Toano store.

Established in 2009, Family Service Day is a visionary program and the brainchild of Charlie Marcotte, owner of American Pride Automotive.  Once a quarter, Charlie and his staff open up their shop on a Saturday to donate a full day of free car service to deserving families in the greater peninsula area.  Services include routine safety and maintenance, oil changes, tire rotation, 31 point inspections, and various necessary repairs.  The company also provides entertainment, arts and crafts for kids, coffee, snacks, and sometimes a complete meal.  Since its inception, Family Service Day has helped to create teamwork within the company and inspired support from many like-minded businesses in the local area (Chick Fil-A, The Colony Group, and 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union).  American Pride has held 13 Family Service Days since October 2009 and has serviced approximately 275 families.

Family Service Day is the embodiment of a strong belief that ‘to serve others is the best investment’.  It is our intention to share this successful model with businesses across America as a way to grow business through community service.
